How does this work?

You will need to use your wallet to create an Offer File that offers the amount of NioCoins you wish to Stake (for interest) in exchange for our Stake Token that will act as your receipt.

Anytime you want to withdraw your stake you will then need create a new Offer File swapping back your Stake Token in exchange for your original amount of NioCoins + any interest you have accrued.

When is interest accounted?

Approximately Every Midnight UTC the system will update and you can withdraw NioCoin plus an additional days interest.

Does interest compound?

Yes, every day that you leave your NioCoin staked you will receive interest on the original amount as well as any accrued interest.

Why am I receiving fewer Stake Tokens than NioCoin?

To account interest. As each day passes all Stake Tokens increase in the amount of NioCoin they are worth. Therefore, for you to enter at the correct current rate in relation to previous Stakers it will require more NioCoin per Stake Token.

You can check this is correct yourself. Enter an amount to stake and then copy the output Stake Token amount and switch to Redeem. Now paste the quantity into the amount to redeem and you will see that it equals your original amount to Stake.

What happens when there is no more capacity?

Offers will no longer be accepted for staking if we hit 3,150,000 $NIOC staked. Once someone redeems Stake Token then it will become available immediately and be allocated on a first come first served basis.

How long will Staking last?

We have vaulted 2,043,294.16 NioCoin. If all 3,150,00 $NIOC was staked at 2.5% APR this would last 20 years. If all at 5% APR then 10 years. We can safely say it will last a minimum of 10 years (30 June 2033), but at this stage we can’t say an exact date.

Help, my Offer is still pending...

If your Offer has not been accepted and it has been over 48 hours, then it is more than likely your amounts where not exact, you didn’t stake or redeem above the minimum or we are at full capacity for staking. If we are not at full capacity please cancel your offer and try again.

In some circumstances there can be issues with Offer files that contain a large amount of coins. If your NioCoin balance is made from lots of airdrops, then it is advised you send your whole balance to yourself before making your Offer file.
